I (finally) finished reading Cadence, the narrative of the journey of Melanie Carrier and Olivier Higgins Asia. This adventure of 8000 km in cycling on the roads of Mongolia, China, Tibet, Nepal and India, the couple made a documentary that has won numerous awards.
The photographs in the book are wonderful, I did not like the story. Maybe because behind this adventure was annoyed reported that their main motivation was to make a documentary and not find a perfect (cycling) the essence of life: bridging basic needs in an emotional state of freedom. Consideration
very personal and probably unfair of me to make judgments about the story, I agree, but hey it is what it is!
spectacular images and beautiful musical accompaniment. If the opportunity presented itself surely I will be attending a conference recounting their adventure.
