July 8, 2010 a delegation from the association for public management Water Is Set to met Dominique Voynet, Mayor of Montreuil.
Indeed the group has asked for several weeks of appointment to each of the mayors of nine cities in the urban community to know everyone's position on water management.
remember that before Ms. Voynet, only the mayor of Pantin we had fixed an appointment with his chief of staff to finally meet a delegate elected Lilacs, Mr. Lagrange. This meeting was also shown above the desire to continue with Lagrange SEDIF ...
With Mrs. Voynet, we shared most of our observation:
- management of water must be lifted from the clutches of private, including Veolia's newly reappointed by SEDIF,
- network maintenance, to prevent losses due to leakage, is insufficient, but not interested in making pay that Veolia Water
- Management SEDIF reveals a collusion between the clutches of the major parties (UMP, NC, PS and PC) and Veolia on the backs of users.
- the price of water is excessive on the perimeter of SEDIF.
We were able to share from the comments of Ms. Voynet in the press (the weekly Politis) where she said her criticism of SEDIF and even mentioned the possibility Montreuil to climb out of SEDIF.
The delegation of the group, several ideas are needed:
- must actually lead the great battle on this popular issue before the community board's decision (Petition, film, exhibitions, etc..)
- this battle is winnable: Is all of the elected are more likely to hear their constituents that delegates SEDIF,
- State of the feedback is very positive: people do not actually see why they would choose the most expensive the least environmentally friendly and less controllable ... if not for nefarious reasons.
It was agreed to continue discussions and reflection during the summer to prepare for the debate to be held in September after the final results of the study.
